Covid Updates

Update regarding the opening of the Colleges

As you may be aware, the Government has just announced that there will be changes to the start of the new term.

As it stands, the headlines are:

  • BTEC exams planned for January will still be going ahead
  • Any student with exams in the summer will be able to access online learning from 11 January
  • All other students will return on the 18 January
  • There will be additional arrangements put in place for vulnerable students

During the Christmas break we have been preparing for a number of eventualities, and over the coming 24 hours will be finalising our plans now that the final position for the reopening of schools and colleges has been clarified.

We will be writing to all staff, students and their families by the end of the day on Friday with some more detailed information about what this all means for our community. This will not only include information about the return to learning, but also what our plans are for how we will roll-out testing for Covid-19.

In the meantime, please do stay safe and enjoy what you can of the remaining days of the festive period.
